Shauna Minoprio
Executive ProducerShauna joined Embassy Row in October 2010 as an Executive Producer and will run the company’s Los Angeles office and operation.
Shauna has produced some of the most successful and innovative reality shows on television (according to her Mom). She was the original EP/ Showrunner and significant creative force behind Bravo’s Emmy-award winning flagship, Top Chef, (5 seasons and no, she still can’t cook). She was also EP/Showrunner on the first season of the Emmy-nominated monster hit Undercover Boss, for CBS.
Shauna started out in the UK documentary tradition researching such diverse subjects as the moon landings, the history of conjuring the female orgasm (insert joke here). Her knack for popular story-telling and fascination with what makes people tick led her to become a key player in the development of the new genre of reality television. Before the term was even coined, she produced one of Britain’s very first ‘reality shows’, Shipwrecked, in which she stranded a group of young Brits on an uninhabited island in the South Pacific for several months (she really just wanted a killer tan). This became a huge breakout hit with the UK audience long before Survivor and continued for several seasons. She is now the EP/Showrunner for The Glee Project, a new reality competition series for Oxygen, in which contestants compete for a 7 episode role on the mega-hit show ‘Glee’. Other highlights have included producing Top Chef: Masters, Faking It in the UK and US and getting licensed to dump waste on the first season of Scrapheap Challenge (later to become Junkyard Wars in the US). Shauna is the proud owner of a degree in Latin, a James Beard award, four Emmy nominations and a crippling Marmite addiction.
