Fran Alswang joined Embassy Row in 2007 to work directly with Kim Martin overseeing production of all Rock Shrimp Productions’ shows, including Bobby Flay’s Food Network hit series’, Boy Meets Grill, and Throwdown. While at Rock Shrimp, she’s also overseen several other shows: 5 Ingredient Fix, Kelsey’s Essentials, Alex’s Day Off, Dear Food Network, and most recently, Brunch @ Bobby’s, and Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction. She won an Emmy for Outstanding Culinary Production for Grill It! with Bobby Flay.

Before working at Embassy Row, Fran worked with Kim Martin at Dan Cohen and Sons and co-produced and co-directed the pilot for Throwdown with Bobby Flay. She has also written and directed, and supervised produced numerous documentary form series including Michael Moore’s Emmy award winning series, TV Nation, and worked with CBS, NBC, MSNBC, A&E, TLC, Travel Channel, NY Times Television, HBO Downtown Productions and Comedy Central.

Over a twenty year career, Fran’s had the opportunity to interview everyone from murderers and thieves, to mobsters and white collar criminals, to corporate whistle blowers and extraterrestrial abductees, to politicians and world leaders, extreme athletes, test pilots, bull riders and shoe hoarders, to assorted writers, artists, musicians, comedians, and celebrities, and has loved every single minute of it!
